Under the Sea

THE breaststroke
swim freestyle
To those who already know how to swim and especially to those who have just learned how to float and 'splash', I would give some tips on how to perform movements in different styles. I do this because I am a teacher of swimming, but if you have anything to the contrary, that there is any doubt or you can communicate back. Let's start with frog, slower style, the only one where there is the action of the arms, but that is often the most dificult to learn. The horizontal position of the body is compromised by some members of the swim, such as:
  1. breathing front
  2. underwater recovery
  3. flexion of the thighs on the pelvis

beginning arms, the legs are stretched out, hands directed outwards, and these then flex the forearm to direct the movement. As soon as your elbows are shoulder width apart, arms begin to sag, allowing the hands to get closer to the midline of the body, along what is called a reverse path to the heart. When the hands are drawing closer, their action causes a buoyancy and allows for breathing. After inhalation, begin the recovery phase, in which the swimmer extends his arms forward and take advantage of the momentum. At the time of maximum buoyancy, is part of the leg, which should not be larger than the projection of the basin and consists of a bending of the leg on the thigh, followed by a lateral rotation of the ankle. Good swim!
